Review: Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella
I have only read Sophia Kinsella’s Shopaholic books and even then, I have only read like the first two. I read the first book when it was released back in 2000 and I recall LOVING IT. I laughed so hard many many times and I remember thinking how much I had in common with the main character, especially at that time being a young college student. Review: Beth and Amy by Virginia Kantra
Little Women was the first time I saw myself in a book character. Jo March was me idol as a child. I especially loved the Winona Ryder film version of this classic and always felt like Jo March was so me and whenever I envision Jo March, I think of Winona Ryder. Jo March will forever be one of my favorite classic characters and one I strongly identify with where as Amy will forever be the girl who stole Laurie from her! Amy is my least favorite March sister. I love books about small towns, especially if they contain a romance. I thought this one sounded fun, a little bit of a forbidden romance set in a small town sounded like just the thing for summer reading. Review: It Had to Be You by Georgia Clark
Any book that has a similarity between Love Actually noted in the title gets a yes from me to read! I love that movie and when I saw that this book featured a similar braided narrative that also included a wedding planner and all the best parts of various rom-coms, well I simply needed to make room on my review calendar for it. This is my first ever Ann Garvin book but I have certainly seen her other books on best seller lists and I was interested in checking this one out. This book has an adorable cover and I thought the premise sounded promising. After reading the summary, I thought this would be a great book for the modern woman. So many women are struggling to find a work/life balance right now and I think that a lot of readers could find something to relate to in this one. This was a books that I was kind of ‘meah’ about when I read the description. It didn’t grab me in the way that I was expecting.
