Special Feature: The Other End of the Line (Commissario Montalbano #24) by Andrea Camilleri
The Commissario Montalbano series has obviously been a successful one! This is the 24th book in the long standing series and it clearly has a large fan base and the latest book is out this week! Author, Andrea Camilleri, has been widely praised for creating such a beloved character and series that is crafty and smart. Camilleri was 91 years old guys—-91. To be such a prolific writer still at that age is impressive and inspiring. Though he passed away in July of this year, the fact that he has continued to write such an intelligent series is incredible and again, just so impressive. He leaves behind a huge literary legacy…

Review: The Forgotten Room by Karen White, Beatriz Williams and Lauren Willig (Audible Edition)
This book has been sitting on my shelf for so long. At least since it was first released in 2016. All three of these authors are some of my favorites, but this book was their first collaboration and I was hesitant to read it. Sometimes reading a book by three people is awkward and weird—even if they are three extremely successful authors. So on my shelf it sat. And sat. and sat. Until their second collaboration was released, The Glass Ocean. I downloaded The Glass Ocean on Audible on a whim and randomly listened to it in my car running errands and fell in love with their three different timelines…

Review: The Harp of Kings (Warrior Bards #1) by Juliet Marillier
Juliet Marillier is an author that I have had on my radar for quite some time. Her Sevenwaters series is one that I keep looking at and often debate if it’s the right time to pick it up or not…..but then I put it back down for unknown reasons. When this one appeared one day in my mailbox I was absolutely thrilled! I normally don’t get a ton of fantasy or YA historical fantasy so I felt privileged to get this one! I was so excited and couldn’t wait to crack it open! Now that I am finished with this new series, I am absolutely committed to reading her other…

Except: BURSTS OF FIRE (Addicted to Heaven #1) by Susan Forest
I am thrilled to be able to give you guys a sneak peak of this book today! It’s been out since early August and has been receiving lots of great reviews. I haven’t had the pleasure of reading it yet, but this little snippet sounds wonderful! If you like epic fantasy then you will defiantly want to check this one out. While this is more in the YA genre, I think it would be a book that adults would love as well! Not only does it have magic and other fantasy elements, but it sounds like it’s going to tackle some big issues too much as addiction and mental illness…

Review: The Doll Factory by Elizabeth Macneal
To say that I was exited to get this book in the mail is an absolute understatement. I actually squealed in excitement when I opened this book up! The cover is magical and haunting and the summary sounded like something I was absolutely going to sink my teeth into immediately! Victorian England, creepy stalkers, and all sorts of disturbing gothic devices were promised in the summary. I could hardly contain my excitement. I was ecstatic to read this one and cracked it open almost immediately and what awaited me in the pages was a dark and disturbing story in addition to creepy dolls.

Special Feature: THE PASSENGERS by John Marrs
As many of you know, I don’t read a ton of sci-fi or speculative fiction but when one catches my eye, I’m always excited to share with my readers even if it’s a genre that I don’t read a ton of. I know sci-fi and speculative fiction both have a huge fan base so odds are some of my readers are fans. This one caught my eye because it sounds like it’s going to be a mix of sci fi, speculative fiction and thriller genres and I am eager to share all the details of this upcoming book! This book has been getting a lot of notice on Goodreads as…

Review: Someone We Know by Shari Lapena
Shari Lapena has a big big big fan base and she has written a number of best sellers. Prior to this book, I had only read one of her books and thought it was pretty good. I was totally open to reading more and when this one came up for review I was excited to check it out and see how her writing held up for me a second time around. One of the things that caught my eye about this one was the neighborhood gossip mill aspect. Neighborhood was strongly featured in the summary and I was eager to see how that played out in the story. Often so…

Special Feature: THE TRUTH BEHIND THE LIE (Kouplan #1) by Sara Lövestam
Scandinavian crime/thriller literature has a very unique flare that is truly recognizable. I have had the pleasure of reading a few crime/thriller novels from some northern countries and find them unique, if not unsettlingly cold and detached. The cool detachment works well, especially for thrillers and I have throughly enjoyed the Scandinavian novels that I have read. This latest book, THE TRUTH BEHIND THE LIE, is by Swedish author Sara Lövestam who has written some award winning crime novels and has won awards in France and The Netherlands. This book has a compelling plot featuring important themes and one that I am thrilled the share with all of you!

Review: The Lost Letter by Mimi Matthews
In my binge reading of Mimi Matthews books, I saved her first book as the last in my binge reading. I loved seeing how her writing evolved over the books and reading this one last was a treat. While her writing might have evolved, all the hallmarks that make me love her books are evident in each and every book from the beginning. Snappy, humorous dialogue, elegant settings, memorable characters, and glorious romantic tension. This book definitely had a Beauty and the Beast feel and I couldn’t get enough of it. Even though it was short (more of a novel length at just over 200 pages), it felt like a…
