Mother daughter relationships are always complicated which I think is one reason why I never tire of reading books about mothers and daughters. In this case the book is multigenerational with mothers, daughters, and grandmothers. I cannot wait to check this one out. Right from the start, I really liked the sound of this novel. An unconventional mother daughter story just sounds refreshing and interesting to me. I had no idea what this book was going to be about. I mean sure it had a summary of course, but in the sea of women’s fiction, many of the summaries as well as the covers tend to blend together. At first glance, I almost passed on this book. It just didn’t stand out to me as unique when I was looking at the cover. Don’t get me wrong I love the colors in the cover, but it just seemed generic and I just didn’t find it that memorable. But the summary convinced me otherwise.
