• Special Feature and Excerpt: Someone’s Listening by Seraphina Nova Glass

I think one of the most unsettling and scary things is stalking. Stalking sends a shiver up my spine like nothing else and this book sounds like it’s going to have an extra added later of creep! The other thing that makes this book sound terrifying is that the main character wakes up from an accident only to find that your reality has been altered—her finance is gone when she was sure he was in the car with her. Right away this book sounded so so so creepy. It has been receiving rave reviews and praise with loads of 4 and 5 star reviews. I am so excited to share…

  • Special Feature: Shadow Garden by Alexandra Burt

If you pass your days immersed in thrillers, then this is one you definitely want to get on your radar! It sounds suspenseful and complex mixed with the exotic feel of a luxurious lifestyle within its pages. I have never read anything by Alexandra Burt but I her book The Good Daughter got a bit of buzz a couple of years ago and I was eager to see what her new book was all about. Which means that today, I have all the info for this upcoming new release and I am so excited to share it with you guys! The book is out TODAY so be sure to pick…

  • Review: Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough (Audible Edition)

My murder mystery book club decided to read two books this month. The first book we selected for June we all read in like two days so we decided that we would pick a second book and this was it. This book sounded interesting-ish, but then again, many psychological thrillers sound similar so I wasn’t exactly convinced that this was going to be a new and different book than any of the other psychological thrillers out there right now. But I decided to listen to it on Audible and hoped for the best.

  • Take Two Review: My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing

When this book came out last year, I was instantly sold on the summary. It sounded so dark and twisted and I was dying to read it. I made room for it on my review schedule and was so glad that I did. Recently a few of my closest girlfriends have been tossing around the idea of starting a muderino-esque book club where all we read is thrillers and/or true crime books. Being THE reader in this group, it has fallen to me to pick books that I think would be great for our little book club. This was the first book I had thought of when we started talking…

  • Special Feature and Excerpt: Sister Dear by Hannah Mary McKinnon

When I read the summary for this book, I thought it sounded a bit different than the hot releases in thrillers right now. Currently the market is so full of domestic thrillers with husbands and wives or twisted mother/daughter relationships, but this book examines the tedious dynamic between two sisters. I am thrilled to be able to bring you guys a little sneak peak into this hot new thriller today so keep reading and see what some of today’s hottest thriller authors are saying about this one!

  • Special Feature: The Silence by Susan Allott

Today Susan Allott’s first novel is out in the world and I am thrilled to be able to share a bit about the book with you guys! Not only is the cover inviting, but the premise of the book sounds so good and I can’t wait to read this one! It’s getting some rave reviews and if thrillers are your thing then you don’t want to miss this book. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since it arrived in my mail box last week. I didn’t have time to fit it into my review schedule for this month but you better believe I am making room later…

  • Re-Share Review: Someone We Know by Shari Lapena

Last year I read Someone We Know when it first came out and today it’s out in paperback! So to celebrate, I am re-sharing my review today! If you love suspense and thriller novels, Lapena is a great choice. I have only read a couple of her books but I have enjoyed each of them. I am looking forward to her upcoming novels as well! Be sure to pop pick up a copy of the paperback release today and see what I thought of this book when I originally read it! It held my interest and kept me guessing for sure!

  • Review: Stories We Never Told by Sonja Yoerg

Sonja Yoerg is another author that I have been a long time fan of, though I have to admit I was a little worried about this one. Yoerg usually writes more women’s fiction, but this one was marketed as more of a thriller. But I did keep an open mind. I hate how some authors get pigeon holed into writing a certain genre, just because an author is known for writing women’s fiction doesn’t mean she can’t write anything else right? While Yoerg might be known for a certain genre, I would argue that she should be known for her ability to write complex characters that truly stand out rather…

  • Special Feature and Excerpt: The Final Deception (New York Confidential #5) by Heather Graham

I am an avid fan of police shows. I grew up watching all kinds of true crime tv shows as well as a hot of various ‘cop shows’ on tv. I especially loved the ones with a bit of romance mixed in. As an adult I still watch shows like Law and Order, especially SVU, and am still feeling short changed by the missed opportunity of Olivia and Stabler  becoming a thing. So when I saw this book was coming out, it caught my eye because it boasts all the things that I love in a police procedural/crime novel while adding in a hint of romance to break things up.…

  • Special Feature and Excerpt: The Darkness We Hide (The Undertaker’s Daughter #3) by Debra Webb

During these strange times, I think many of us are looking for an escape more than ever before and for many of us, that escape comes from reading. For me personally, I like to pick up a great romance, or a consuming mystery when things get a little stressful in real life and this book here sounds like it more than fits the suspenseful diversion that many of us might be looking for right now. This is the third book in the series, I have not read the other books and I have read than some reviewers who jumped in with this one felt a little lost, but all commented…
