  • Special Feature and Excerpt: The Sea Glass Cottage by RaeAnne Thayne

I absolutely love RaeAnne Thayne and I just stumbled on her books about a year and a half ago when I was asked to read one of her Christmas series. I thought it was absolutely charming and very festive. Since then I have read a couple of her other Christmas ones and then one of her non-Christmas reads and enjoyed all of them! I was thrilled to see she had another new book coming out this spring. Today I am thrilled to bring you an excerpt from her latest beachy read, THE SEA GLASS COTTAGE which is out now so don’t miss it!

  • Review: Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel

This novel has been getting a lot of hype on social media. It’s Stephanie Wrobel’s debut novel and it sounds dark and addicting. Which is exactly why I wanted to review it. I mean, I am not going to lie, the main character’s name was Rose Gold and that was made clear in the summary and all I could think of was ‘gag me!’ I honestly wasn’t sure I could get past the name situation but I was eager to read this one all the same because it had all the complicated mother/daughter issues mixed with some psychologically thrilling elements so I was willing ot at least try and look past…

  • Special Feature: Tomorrow There Will Be Sun by Dana Reinhardt

When I first read the summary for this one, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. One the surface it sounded like it was setting up to be a psychological thriller, but the more that I think about it, I think it’s supposed to be more women’s fiction? But I keep wanting it to be a thriller! I think I’ve been reading too many thrillers lately because I am seeing murder when there isn’t any! Tell me if I am wrong : “…as the families settle into their vacation routines, their best friends suddenly seem like annoying strangers, and even Jenna’s reliable husband, Peter, is sharing clandestine phone…

  • Special Feature and Excerpt: Hers to Tame: A Mafia Romance (NOLA Knights #2) by Rhenna Morgan

When I saw that this was a ‘mafia romance’ I was instantly drawn to it. It sounded like something a little off the beaten track of romances. There are so many historical romances (duke, viscount, earl etc) and so many billionaire romances that sometimes it can be overwhelming when trying to find a new romance to read. That’s why the words ‘mafia romance’ stood out. Talk about two words that don’t really seem to go together! As a Carina Press release, a subsidiary of Harlequin, promises a happy ending so I was super excited to check this one out. And today of course I have a special feature as well…

  • Review: The Woman in the Mirror by Rebecca James

By all accounts this book was practically guaranteed a five star review. It had all the things I love in a Gothic tale…..the wild Cornish coast with foggy/misty mornings, a broken hero, a dark secret, an innocent but curious heroine, and so much atmosphere. It sounded like a modern Victoria Holt novel and I just couldn’t wait to crack it open! I have read only one other book by this author, Sweet Damages, but it was so long ago that I read it, that I can’t quite recall all the details but I remember that it was more of a modern Gothic tale. This book mixes modern Gothic with classical…

  • Review: Above the Bay of Angels by Rhys Bowen (Audible Edition)

I have been a long time fan of Rhys Bowen, especially her Royal Spyness series, but I also love many of her stand alone novels as well. When I saw this one was coming out, I almost put it on preorder until I saw that it was going to be an Audible Escape option. As a subscriber to Audible Escape, that means I get to read any of the romances that are marked as Escape in their catalogue. This book was one of them. I started it and was ready for it to be full of romance….I mean, it’s in the romance catalogue after all so I went into it…

  • Special Feature and Excerpt: THE GRACE KELLY DRESS by Brenda Janowitz

With the wedding of Meghan Markle, there has been a resurgence of interest in Grace Kelly, the other American actress that married a royal in a lavish wedding in the 1950s. I couldn’t be more thrilled to share this novel with you guys, not only because I am totally in love with Grace Kelly, but because it just sound so incredible! It’s out now so don’t miss this one! I couldn’t squeeze it into my review schedule for this month but you better believe I plan on reading it all the same! • Guest Post: A Flame Through Eternity (The Wanderer #3) by Anna Belfrage

I am so excited about sharing a lovely guest post from her here on my blog today and also share a little bit about her upcoming release. • Special Feature: A Forgotten Murder (Medlar Mystery #3) by Jude Deveraux

I feel like every writer should strive to be as versatile and prolific as Jude Deveraux! She can write romance novels, historical fiction, mysteries, family sages/dramas. I mean she is so talented and is able to write so many genres without batting an eye lash! This latest novel is out now and the third in her best selling romantic mystery series. While I couldn’t fit it in for review, it sounds so good that I picked up the first in the series and plan on reading it later this summer! This series has been called cozy but also has romantic elements so either way I am open to checking it…
