Special Feature: Someone We Know by Shari Lapena

I had the pleasure of discovering Shari Lapena’s books last summer with, The Unwanted Guest, and thought it was pretty good. I was definitely open to reading more books by her in the future.

I know that a lot of people love her books and this book, Someone We Know, is her latest and sounds like it’s going to be a thrilling release that you will want to read this fall!

I know that a lot of people love reading mysteries and thrillers in the fall and I am one of those people. This book is definitely going to be at the top of my reading list this fall.

It’s out today and early reviews speak high praise for this one, especially if you love domestic the thrillers like I do!

Summary

Maybe you don’t know your neighbors as well as you thought you did . . .

“This is a very difficult letter to write. I hope you will not hate us too much. . . My son broke into your home recently while you were out.”

In a quiet, leafy suburb in upstate New York, a teenager has been sneaking into houses–and into the owners’ computers as well–learning their secrets, and maybe sharing some of them, too.

Who is he, and what might he have uncovered? After two anonymous letters are received, whispers start to circulate, and suspicion mounts. And when a woman down the street is found murdered, the tension reaches the breaking point. Who killed her? Who knows more than they’re telling? And how far will all these very nice people go to protect their own secrets?

In this neighborhood, it’s not just the husbands and wives who play games. Here, everyone in the family has something to hide (summery from Goodreads)

Early Praise

“Shari Lapena has done it again. Someone We Know grabs you by the lapels on page one and doesn’t loosen its grip until the last sentence. Love the claustrophobic suburban neighborhood where anything can happened behind those front doors.”—Fiona Barton, theNew York Times bestselling author of The Widow.
