Guest Post: Seduction (The Reincarnationist #5) by M.J. Rose

In edition to reviewing this alluring novel, M.J. Rose agreed to do a guest post for my lovely readers! Check out this little teaser from the book!

“Certain thoughts are prayers. There are moments when, whatever be the attitude of the body, the soul is on its knees.”
― Victor Hugo

From Chapter 5:
Our house, as you know, Fantine, faces the ocean. Upstairs in my room, it is as if I am perched on the very tip of a precipice with the great foaming waves beneath my window. I wrote in a letter to Franz Stephens that “I inhabit this immense dream of the ocean; slowly I become a sleepwalker of the sea. Faced with these prodigious sights and that enormous living thought in which I lose myself, there is soon nothing left of me but a sort of witness to God.”

That night, as I usually do in these après-séance writing sessions, I flung open the windows and took in great gulps of the sea-washed air.

Guest Post: Fresh Mint with Lemon by Monika Zgustová

After reviewing the book, Fresh Mint with Lemon recently, I had the opportunity to have the author do a feature guest post for my readers!

If you haven’t checked out the book yet, please do. It’s a unique, artistic love story which you don’t want to miss out on. Without further ado please welcome author Monika Zgustová to The Lit Bitch!

From the Author

Describe the book in your own words.

Fresh Mint with Lemon is a story of a love triangle. The three main characters, a man and two women, are extremely sensitive and full of regard for one another, and it’s hard for them to make decisions. For that reason, hardly anything happens between them: they talk and talk, but without really getting to know one another better because, at the bottom of it all, they are afraid to learn what the others might think. The novel, a light summer diversion that takes place during torrid July afternoons and sensual Mediterranean nights near the coast, is a story of longing for happiness, love, and tenderness, which seem to be unattainable. In place of these things there is eternal misunderstanding between three people with very different pasts.

Interview: Flimsy Little Plastic Miracles by Ron Currie, Jr.

I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the outstanding book, Flimsy Little Plastic Miracles by Ron Currie, Jr.

This post modern love story is a novel after my own heart….in a word, superb! It’s got everything that I love in a book: a couple that should never have gotten together but can’t seem to stay away from each other, unreliable narrators, complex and dark characters, exotic locations, and really tell who doesn’t love a story where someone fakes their own death.

I was thrilled when Ron Currie, Jr. agreed to do an interview with me as well, so without further ado please welcome Ron Currie, Jr. to The Lit Bitch!
