I am eternally grateful for Sonja Yoerg reaching out a few years ago asking if I wanted to review her debut novel, House Broken. I fell in love with it and knew that Yoerg was going to be one to watch! I have since read all of her books and am always excited to see when her next book is going to drop.

Her books are always well written with powerful story telling that will draw readers in. Basically it’s a no brainer when I see one of her books come up for a review—-yes! I saw the cover for this one and was instantly drawn curious about what was going to be inside to discover.

Many of Yoerg’s books focus on familial relationships (mother/daughter etc) and I love seeing the dynamics between all the characters and their respective families. This book promised to be the most complex familial relationship book yet and I couldn’t wait to dive into the characters and their family dynamics!

Special Feature: Dangerous Women by Hope Adams

This book has been on my radar for a couple of months now and I am so excited to read a book about nonconventional women! And when I say nonconventional, I mean criminals and murderers.

I adore historical thrillers and this one sounds like it’s going to be one that historical fiction fans want to have on their nightstands! Author Hope Adams has written a couple of other romance novels but this one sounds like it’s going to have a little more grit to it and I cannot wait to see how this one is received by audiences!

Having already received a lot of advanced praise, this one is high up on my TBR. If you are looking for a historical thriller featuring an exotic location and nonconventional women then this book needs to be on your radar! I never met a Bronte novel that I didn’t like. I love the Bronte’s and when I saw a series of books about the Bronte’s as detectives was coming out, I was chomping at the bit to dive into it! But I did have some hesitations. There was part of me that was thrilled for a new take on the Brontes, but another part of me was worried it would be a hokey series.

But after reading the first book, I was pleasantly surprised by how well written and developed the characters and plot were! I thought the first book was wonderful and was really looking forward to the second. I actually enjoyed the second book, The Diabolical Bones, a little better but both were wonderful!

Now the Diabolical Bones is out in paperback and I am so excited to be re-sharing my review with you guys today! If you are looking for a smart fun new series with familiar characters and historical figures then look no further! This mystery in particular was quite chilling and satisfying so be sure to pick up a copy of this wonderful read today!
