Review: The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss

Unless you have been living under a rock, this book has been just about everywhere. At least on my social media it has been! Its seems like everyone has been reading this one and raving about it.

So needless to say, in all my holiday reading I decided to jump on the bandwagon. I thought for sure this was going to be a book that I would breeze through and it would leave me feeling all full of Christmas cheer and happiness.

But instead this one left me feeling a little like a Scrooge. I didn’t love it. It wasn’t awful but it definitely wouldn’t have been my pick for a holiday romance. I had hoped for a lot more humor but I got an angsty vibe that I didn’t anticipate.

Special Feature: Boone (Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas #3) by Emily March

Emily March has a large fan following and her series, Eternity Springs, is probably her most popular, but this little spin off series, The McBrides of Texas, has been receiving a lot of praise. The third book in that particular series, Boone, is out now and I couldn’t be more excited to share a little about this book with you all!

Emily March is a very prolific romance writer and there seems to be a little something for every reader when it comes to her books—small town romance, holiday romance, cowboy romance. When I see writers with many books and fans, it’s clear to me that they are doing something right. Clearly people like their books which makes me feel confident that I will too!

I really enjoy a small town romance and this book sounds like it’s going to have all the small town romance and cowboy romance readers have been looking for. If you love romances or if you have read any of March’s other books then you will no doubt be looking forward to this one!

Special Feature: Chilled to the Cone (A Bakeshop Mystery #12) by Ellie Alexander

Cozy mystery fans be on the look out for this upcoming installment of a charming series out tomorrow! I have adored many of Ellie Alexander’s books including this series! I have skipped around a bit in it but I have always felt more of less up to speed with the characters.

I especially love all the baking elements and the fact that she is an Oregon author and this series is set in Ashland Oregon, only makes me all the more excited for it!

As I mentioned this one is out tomorrow so you don’t want to miss it! Even if you aren’t fully caught up in the series (like me) don’t let that dissuade you from reading this one! The author always does a nice job orientating readers in the series and the focus is on the mystery—-and the food of course!

Review: Christmas in Harmony Harbor (Harmony Harbor #9) by Debbie Mason

I picked up this book for a couple of reasons. One, I was looking for all the holiday romances I could get my hands on, two I say that RaeAnne Thayne recommended this book, and third it had an adorable dog on the cover. I was super excited to check it out.

I love enemies to lovers troupes and this one sounded like it had a little bit of a You’ve Got Mail vibe going on so I was obviously looking forward to something like this to help get me in the Christmas spirit.

I noticed that it was part of a series but I also know that often in books like these, series mostly means reappearances of other characters from previous books rather than having the previous been play a larger part in the overall story. So I dove right into the holiday cheer and romance!
