Review: The Girl from Widow Hills by Megan Miranda (Audible Edition)

For the month of December, my book club decided to read this book and I had seen a lot of reviews about this one and was super excited to check it out.

I have never read anything by this author before but I have seen a number of her books and often thought about picking them up to see what all the buzz was about, but then for some reason fell back to other authors that I knew or had read before.

Well after reading this one, Megan Miranda will be an author I read more often. This was a great read and I was often sitting there wondering what in the world was going on and how this was all going to come together! The ending was especially great!

Review: In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren

This book was my December Book of the Month and I couldn’t wait to read it. I cleared my December reading calendar so I could enjoy all the holiday books this year and this one was top on my list! I have never read anything by Christina Lauren but I am about to buy all her books!

Holiday rom-coms are my one of my weaknesses. I mean, I used to mock my friends who watch all the Hallmark holiday movies, but then I watched one and now I secretly stayed up late to sneak in a couple during the holiday season…..plus I may or may not have watched Love Actually a million times!

So basically this book was high up on my reading list and I was so excited to read a fun little holiday romance that was all about unrequited love at the holidays—oh and a little time travel.

Review: The Garden of Promises and Lies (Found Things #3) by Paula Brackston

It’s been a hot minute since I read one of Paula Brackston’s novels. I have read almost all of her books though and I have loved many many many of the stories. This novel is the third in her Found Things series which I have really enjoyed thus far.

I was so excited to see that this one was coming out this month and while I tried to keep my calendar open for all the Christmas books this month, I made an exception for this one and added it to my December calendar because I simply love her books!

If you love historical fiction with some time travel and paranormal/magic then you don’t want to miss this series, or the author’s other books for that matter. I highly recommend reading this series from the beginning though because you will definitely feel lost jumping in this late in the game!

Take Two Review: Christmas in Vermont by Anita Hughes

Sometimes I accidentally pick up a book I have already read and don’t realize it until I am part way through.

I picked this one up again because I adored the cover and I am all about the holiday romances right now and I know that I love Anita Hughes so I grabbed this one and about a third of the way through I was like wait, this sounds familiar?

I checked my Goodreads and sure enough there it was….I read it last year! But I was enjoying it just as much this second time around so I just kept right on reading! I am so glad I got to read this one again though because it was just as much fun a second time around!

Review: A Heartfelt Christmas Promise by Nancy Naigle

Just about every holiday season, I read one of Nancy Naigle’s holiday romances and I have never been disappointed. It’s like reading a Hallmark Movie, you just know without a doubt that you are going to read something sweet, fun, romantic, and full of holiday cheer!

When this book was released in October, I just didn’t have room on my calendar to review it. But this year I did something I never do. I left my December calendar really open so that I could read a bunch of holiday romances!

And this one was at the top of my list to read! I could easily have finished it in a day but then of course life got in the way so it took me a couple of days to read, but I was happy because that meant I got to drag it out a little more and enjoy all the wonderful words inside a little longer!
