I think one of the most unsettling and scary things is stalking. Stalking sends a shiver up my spine like nothing else and this book sounds like it’s going to have an extra added later of creep!

The other thing that makes this book sound terrifying is that the main character wakes up from an accident only to find that your reality has been altered—her finance is gone when she was sure he was in the car with her.

Right away this book sounded so so so creepy. It has been receiving rave reviews and praise with loads of 4 and 5 star reviews. It sounds suspenseful and complex mixed with the exotic feel of a luxurious lifestyle within its pages. I have never read anything by Alexandra Burt but I her book The Good Daughter got a bit of buzz a couple of years ago and I was eager to see what her new book was all about.

My murder mystery book club decided to read two books this month. The first book we selected for June we all read in like two days so we decided that we would pick a second book and this was it.

This book sounded interesting-ish, but then again, many psychological thrillers sound similar so I wasn’t exactly convinced that this was going to be a new and different book than any of the other psychological thrillers out there right now.

When this book came out last year, I was instantly sold on the summary. It sounded so dark and twisted and I was dying to read it.

I made room for it on my review schedule and was so glad that I did. Recently a few of my closest girlfriends have been tossing around the idea of starting a muderino-esque book club where all we read is thrillers and/or true crime books. Being THE reader in this group, it has fallen to me to pick books that I think would be great for our little book club.

This was the first book I had thought of when we started talking about our little book club and even though I had read it, I remember reading it so fast that I knew there was plenty that I was missing and that it would be fun to read again.
