Review: An Everyday Hero (A Heart of a Hero #2) by Laura Trentham

Let me just put this out there right now, I don’t read a lot of military fiction or romances. While I love military history and have family that have servedĀ  and continue to serve in the military, it’s just not a genre that I ever think about picking up to read. Ever. No real reason why, I just simply don’t think of it.

So why now? Here is the shallow answer—I loved the cover. Sure the cover lured me in, but I have to admit I was intrigued by the summary and I love Southern fiction and thought this one might be a diverting read.

Plus, I love romances what can I say. There is just something so satisfying about a happily ever after that I just can’t say no to! That’s how I came to review this one and I am not at all sorry that I read it! Continue reading “Review: An Everyday Hero (A Heart of a Hero #2) by Laura Trentham”

Special Feature/Excerpt: Sisters by Choice (Blackberry Island #4) by Susan Mallery

There is nothing like the bonds between sisters or in this case, cousins. In this book seasoned story teller Susan Mallery explores the complicated relationships between three women who are more like sisters than cousins.

I haven’t read anything by Susan Malley before but after reading this excerpt I can see why people enjoy her books! It sounds like this book will be full of complicated and nuanced relationships as well as a dose of humor to balance things out.

While this might be the fourth book in a the series, I believe it can be read as a stand alone. I am thrilled to bring this excerpt to you guys for a little sneak peak. This book is releasing February 11th so be sure to mark your calendars because it’s one you don’t want to miss! Review: The Country Guesthouse (Sullivan’s Crossing #5) by Robyn Carr

Robyn Carr was a new to my author a couple of years ago but once I picked up one of her books, I could immediately see why so many people enjoy her novels!

Picking this book up in the dead of winter was a little depressing though, because I could practically feel the sun on my skin with this glowing beach style read!

Even though the setting is in Colorado, it still reminded me of a fun read on a sunny summer day while I was passing some time at the beach, this is the sort of book that you want to pack with you on a lazy summer day. It has lots of romance and charm to draw readers in for sure! Continue reading “Review: The Country Guesthouse (Sullivan’s Crossing #5) by Robyn Carr”
