Review: Ice Kissed (Kanin Chronicles #2) by Amanda Hocking

Bryn Aven is stuck in social limbo, she has no social status in the Kanin kingdom she servers because she’s a half breed (part Skojare herself) but she longs to serve the kingdom in any way she can.

Her determination to be part of the Kanin kingdom takes her to the palace of the Skojare.

These Skojare people need protection from the same rival that has been tormenting the Kanin people.

For Bryn, this is also a chance to learn more about where she comes from as much as a mission. She is accompanied by boss, Ridley Dresden, but soon their growing attraction for one another becomes a distraction.

This books takes us to the Skojare and the Storvatten tribes which was really exciting because we got to learn a lot more about them and their secrets.

Review: Frostfire (Kanin Chronicles #1) by Amanda Hocking

I am in cover lust over this novel, that’s why I picked it up….plus I heard some good reviews about this book so I downloaded it before going on vacation.

It sounded like an interesting premise and an easy read so why not?

Bryn Aven is a tracker. Her job is to take and bring back changelings to Kanin.

She has always wanted to be a Hogdragen, an elite trained group of trackers and guards who serve the royals. Her father is the Chancellor of the Kanin people, who serves the King.

One night after her first duty as a tracker, Bryn and her father run into Konstantin Black, the youngest and most notorious Hogdragen serving the Queen.

Konstantin begs Bryn’s father to sign some papers briefly before returning home, Bryn says she will wait for him when she suddenly hears him cry out.
