Review: The London Restoration by Rachel McMillan

This is one of those books that when I saw the cover, I simply said yes without even pausing to read the summary. As many of you know I am a huge sucker for historical fiction and this cover hit all the historical fiction eye catchers it possibly could!

I love the colors and the red hat just drew me right in and I couldn’t wait to check it out and see if the story lived up to the hype of the cover.

Basically I went into this one blind since I said yes without even reading the summary and sometimes that works out for me. I didn’t know what to expect and I loved discovering this story without the inhibitions of knowing what it was going to be about. Continue reading “Review: The London Restoration by Rachel McMillan”

Review: A Class Forsaken (A Matter of Class #3) by Susie Murphy

Over the last few years I have gotten to know Susie Murphy and her characters in the “Matter of Class” series and not only is she a wonderful person and author, but her saga has only gotten better.

More about that in a minute but first I wanted to take a couple of minutes and gush over the beauty of this cover. It is absolutely stunning. Each cover design has been eye catching, memorable, and interesting but this one is my favorite cover design. I think it’s elegant and captures the essence of the saga.

Now that I have raved about the cover a bit, let’s talk about how great this book was and how excited I am that there are going to be more books in the saga! Continue reading “Review: A Class Forsaken (A Matter of Class #3) by Susie Murphy”

Review: Killer Kung Pao (A Noodle Shop Mystery #6) by Vivien Chien

How is it that we are already on the 6th book in this series? It feels like I just started reading it a few months ago….but I haven’t. I read the very first book before it came out and fell in love with this series.

I adore Lana Lee and all the murdery goodness of the Asia Village not to mention every book I read leaves me craving Chinese food and I don’t even like Chinese food but I would kill for some noodles about three chapters in to every single book!

Every time I see that Vivien Chien has a new Lana book coming out, I just automatically add it to my TBR and my review calendar because they are quick easy reads with a good mystery and a fun heroine, how could I not read them? Special Feature: Love Sold Separately by Ellen Meister

When I first saw this cover, the first things that came to mind were definitely NOT murder mystery. The cover says rom-com or chick lit and the title implies romance so when I saw that it contained a murder mystery, I was like—-say what?!

It sounds like the story itself is more of a rom-com—but there is a murder mystery tied in and I think that sounds like such a fun read! I love when genres cross over and I am really excited to see if that works in this one. Sometimes it does, while others it doesn’t but I think either way this one sounds fun.

I couldn’t get it on my review calendar this month but I have all the fun details here for you guys to check out and see if this one might be for you! I love the sound of it and I think others might too! It’s on sale tomorrow so if this sounds like something you might enjoy, click the link below to get a copy for yourself! Special Feature: How to Catch a Sinful Marquess (The Disreputable Debutantes #3) by Amy Rose Bennett

My head was turned when I saw this cover. I absolutely love the pinks and purples in the cover and immediately wanted to know more.

The title definitely sounded like a typical romance title so I obviously knew that this was going to be a romance novel, but I just really loved the cover and how the woman was placed and that there was no man on the cover, I wondered if this would be a bit of a different romance than I was expecting.

Not to mention the male love interests name wasn’t something saucy like ‘Fabian’…..his name is Hamish. Talk about the least sexiest name out there. So both of these things really made me interested in reading this one. While I couldn’t fit it into my summer reading, I am hoping to squeeze it in this fall. Today though I have all the details here for you to check out! Continue reading “Special Feature: How to Catch a Sinful Marquess (The Disreputable Debutantes #3) by Amy Rose Bennett”
