Special Feature: Love Blooms (Rendezvous Falls #4) by Jo McNally

If you have spent more than five minutes in line at the grocery store, no doubt you have seen one of Jo McNally’s books! She’s written a number of romance books and anyone who has that kind of staying power and large fan base, has got to be doing something right! Not to mention in the summer I love throwing a solid romance in my purse and heading to the beach. Why not start with a tried and true author!

If contempo romances are your thing and if you haven’t read anything by McNally before—you definitely need to! Her characters feel real and while maybe not overly complex, they are all addressing real feeling situations and I love how quickly I can connect with one of her characters. I haven’t read all the books in the Rendezvous Falls series yet but the one I have read was great and this one sound great too!

Romances always leave me feeling happy and content and McNally is a top selling romance author! It would be hard to find anyone better. If you love romances (especially contempo romances) don’t wait to explore the Rendezvous Falls series. Like many romance series, the focus is on the romance rather than a larger connecting story so don’t worry if you haven’t read the other books. Today I have a bit about this one to share with you guys!

Special Feature: Not a Happy Family by Shari Lapena

There is something about families and marriages that is a magnet for voyeurs. I know my husband and I are equally as guilty of wondering about our friends families and marriages. I think deep down people want to know how their relationships compare to others. It’s practically human nature. Whenever I see books about families and marriages I can barely pass them up!

Review: Three Words for Goodbye by Hazel Gaynor and Heather Webb

Veteran authors, Hazel Gaynor and Heather Webb, really are a winning team if you ask me! I have loved many of their novels and when I saw this one was coming out I just knew I had to get my hands on it! Each author has their own unique voice and style but at the end of the day, they blend together so well that their books never feel disjointed or confusing.

Sometimes with multiple authors, it can be hard to marry the two different voices to create a well written story, but I have never felt like that with Gaynor and Webb. I have read their own independent novels as well as their collaborative works and I always finish their books feeling like I read a well written book with interesting characters and voices!

The other things that drew me into this book was that it featured the RMS Queen Mary. The Queen Mary is like the more modern version of the Titanic…a luxurious boat tailored to the upper crust of society. I didn’t know too much about the Queen Mary prior to reading this book but I did know that it was a fancy-schmancy ship for it’s time so I was eager to learn more!
