Review: Christmas from the Heart by Sheila Roberts

Sheila Roberts is another prolific writer with a huge fan base and a number of titles to her name. I have only read a couple of her books but found them to be enjoyable and light.

I wanted something relaxing after coming off of a few fast pace reads as well as something to get me into the holiday spirit….this book totally fit the bill.

I originally only did a special feature for this one as I wasn’t sure that I could fit it in to my review schedule, but I thought it sounded so fun that I decided to make some room and squeeze it in for the holidays. Continue reading “Review: Christmas from the Heart by Sheila Roberts”

Excerpt and Feature: Christmas in Silver Springs (Silver Springs #6) by Brenda Novak

Brenda Novak has written a number of books and while I haven’t read any of her books yet, there is something to be said for a long standing author who has a large fan base such as this.

Since the holiday season is officially underway, I thought it would be fun to share a little sneak peak of her latest book, Christmas in Silver Springs, which sounds like it’s going to be incredibly charming and perfect for the holidays!

From what I understand, each book can be a read as a standalone so if you wanted to get in on this lovely little holiday romance, but worried that because it’s part of a series that it would be too late, it’s not! Check it out, you won’t be sorry! Be sure to keep reading for an excerpt and sneak peak of the latest book! Review: A Christmas Gathering: A Novel (Christmas Stories #17) by Anne Perry

Can you guys believe this is my first ever Anne Perry novel? I am shocked that I haven’t read this author before! She has written a ton of mysteries and they all seemed like they would be right up my alley.

But sometimes with well established series, it can be intimidating to just jump in on say book 10 and with Perry’s mystery series, they are all well established and long running.

When this one arrived on my desk for review, I had to do a little research first. Number one, I wanted to read this book because I love the cover and it was more novella length, but I needed to see where it landed in the larger series. It was number 17! I almost passed until I saw that this particular series (the Christmas Stories series) didn’t feature specific reoccurring characters but rather characters from within other series.
