Review: The Ingredients of You and Me (Hopeless Romantics #3) by Nina Bocci

Full confession, I am a sucker for cake and this cover was too good to pass up. I could almost smell the amazing-ness from the picture alone. I also love romantic books and right now I will take all the feel good comfort food—I mean books—that I can get!

I didn’t know that this book was part of a series, which of course I haven’t read the series, but it sounded like it would be a book I could read as a standalone with only a few characters from previous books making a few appearances. Which from what I gather from reading it, is entirely the case because I didn’t have any trouble jumping into this one.

Lately I have also really been digging the rom-coms and this book sounded like just the ticket to keep with my reading theme of late—so I baked a cake and sat down to enjoy this one. Continue reading “Review: The Ingredients of You and Me (Hopeless Romantics #3) by Nina Bocci”

Review: Promised by Leah Garriott (Audible Edition)

A few months back I did a special feature on this book and I just couldn’t get the cover and description out of my mind! I knew my review schedule was packed, so I downloaded it to listen to when I had errands to run.

That’s the thing I love most about audiobooks, there are plenty of days that I have to run errands or just need to get out of the house and go for a drive during the quarantine or days where I have house work to do, rather than sit and read, I multitask with audiobooks.

I rarely accept audiobooks for review because I want to pick books that I maybe had my eye on or maybe I was just in the mood for or perhaps they were on my TBR for years, in other words, it’s my ‘just for fun’ outlet for reading. I was totally in the mood to read this sweet proper romance so I downloaded it and started listening on my way to do a Costco run! Special Feature and Excerpt: The Secrets of Love Story Bridge by Phaedra Patrick

Who here needs a little romance in their lives right about now? Even if your life is full of romance and love, can’t there always be just a little more? I for one love romance and this book sounds like it is full of romance not to mention that it will most likely provide a pleasurable and happy escape from reality right now.

I am thrilled that I also get to bring you all a little sneak peak today with an excerpt from this novel and boy does it sound great!

What I liked most about this book was the premise. Have you ever seen a padlock on a bridge and wondered what its story was? When I visited Prague a few years ago, there is a whole bridge dedicated just to these padlocks. My husband and I had no idea what they were about until we asked and we thought it sounded so romantic and I love that that is the premise of this story! Special Feature: Island Affair by Priscilla Oliveras

This cover is all kinds of eye catching and exotic. I mean who isn’t dreaming of a tropical, exotic get away right now?! I for one sure am and this cover looks so inviting. All I need is a pina colada in hand to make this perfect!

I love that this book is set on a little island in Key West with all the flavors and vibes of the Caribbean and Cuba, not to mention the summary sounds fantastic and the perfect kind of escape.

Today I have all the info for this book which is out tomorrow and even though I only have a feature up today, you better believe it’s on my TBR because it sounds perfect for summer! Continue reading “Special Feature: Island Affair by Priscilla Oliveras”
