Special Feature: Open Secrets by Sheila Kohler

I have not read any of Sheila Kohler’s books before, but it appears that she has written a number of novels that are either historical fiction or non-fiction. Her latest book, Open Secrets, appears to be her first novel of suspense.

The first thing that caught my eye about this one was the exotic settings. It looks as though readers will be transported to the French Riviera as well as maybe some other exotic locations such as the Swiss Alps. It sounds like quite the contrast and the exotic locations lured me in!

I am super excited to read this one perhaps later on this fall when my calendar becomes less busy but for now, this book is out now and sounds so promising. Not to mention it’s been getting rave reviews on Goodreads! Be sure to check it out today if you love suspense! Continue reading “Special Feature: Open Secrets by Sheila Kohler”

Take Two Review: My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing

When this book came out last year, I was instantly sold on the summary. It sounded so dark and twisted and I was dying to read it.

I made room for it on my review schedule and was so glad that I did. Recently a few of my closest girlfriends have been tossing around the idea of starting a muderino-esque book club where all we read is thrillers and/or true crime books. Being THE reader in this group, it has fallen to me to pick books that I think would be great for our little book club.

This was the first book I had thought of when we started talking about our little book club and even though I had read it, I remember reading it so fast that I knew there was plenty that I was missing and that it would be fun to read again. Special Feature and Excerpt: Sister Dear by Hannah Mary McKinnon

When I read the summary for this book, I thought it sounded a bit different than the hot releases in thrillers right now.

Currently the market is so full of domestic thrillers with husbands and wives or twisted mother/daughter relationships, but this book examines the tedious dynamic between two sisters.

I am thrilled to be able to bring you guys a little sneak peak into this hot new thriller today so keep reading and see what some of today’s hottest thriller authors are saying about this one! Continue reading “Special Feature and Excerpt: Sister Dear by Hannah Mary McKinnon”

Special Feature: The Silence by Susan Allott

Today Susan Allott’s first novel is out in the world and I am thrilled to be able to share a bit about the book with you guys!

Not only is the cover inviting, but the premise of the book sounds so good and I can’t wait to read this one!

It’s getting some rave reviews and if thrillers are your thing then you don’t want to miss this book. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since it arrived in my mail box last week. I didn’t have time to fit it into my review schedule for this month but you better believe I am making room later this fall for it! Continue reading “Special Feature: The Silence by Susan Allott”
