It’s the last day of the decade and I can’t believe a new year and decade is already here! I am closing out this year with a fun little romance number here that is set in Paris.

This book wasn’t a hard sell for me. I mean come on…..a bookshop romance set in Paris with a little holiday flair? No brainer right there.

Everything I hoped to get out of this book, I got. I hoped for romance, a happy ending, and a fun trip through Paris—check, check, check. I especially was looking forward to revisiting some of my favorite things about Paris with this one and I totally felt transported and happy while reading it. As we headed into the holiday season, this book was all over my social media and the adorable cover had my name all over it!

It sounded so great and I wanted to read it. I had it on hold at my library but at as December loomed closer, it became clear that I would likely not get this book until some time next spring.

One of my favorite IG bookstagramers, Saturday Nite Reader, happened to post a photo of this book and I comment on in and like a Christmas miracle, she gifted me this book! While fall is still my favorite season, there is something to be said about a winter wedding! I didn’t have a winter wedding but now that I am back home in the Pac NW, I wish I had had one!

When I saw the title of this book I thought it sounded like a great December read and today I am thrilled to be able to bring you guys all a sneak peak of this lovely holiday romance.

This book has been getting tons and tons of great reviews and if you are looking to squeeze in another holiday romance then this one should fit the bill! Sheila Roberts is another prolific writer with a huge fan base and a number of titles to her name. I have only read a couple of her books but found them to be enjoyable and light.

I wanted something relaxing after coming off of a few fast pace reads as well as something to get me into the holiday spirit….this book totally fit the bill.

Review: Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe by Heather Webber

I picked this book up because of the delicious looking pie on the front cover. I mean seriously, that pie looks so delicious and I hoped that the story inside would be equally satisfying.

I don’t think I even stopped to read what it was about, I simply saw pie and said YES. So when I picked it up, I basically went in blind and without any real expectations other than I hoped to read it while eating pie of my own (which did happen by the way!)
