I have only read one of Cathy Lamb’s novels but as soon as I finished, I knew this was an author that I wanted to read more of!
Not only is she a local author for me (she’s from Oregon!) but she’s innovative with a strong voice and writing skills. Reading one of her books was a delight and when I saw this one was coming up, I was looking forward to it for months!
Besides the author’s name and appeal to me, I was instantly attracted to the story as well—mostly because it’s set on the San Juan Islands. If you have never been to the San Juan Islands, then you are missing out—they are so enchanting and beautiful so when I saw this book was set there—to a place I have visited quite a bit before—I couldn’t pass up the chance to read it! By now you have probably noticed that it’s basically Christmas in October on my blog right now. I think this is like the third or fourth holiday romance that I have had up for review or feature on my blog lately.
Every year this happens. I block out the entire month of October for strictly Halloween reading (mysteries, horror, thrillers etc), but then all the holiday romances start coming out and next thing I know it’s like Christmas in October on my blog!
Yes you saw that right, it’s one of my first Christmas reviews! I can’t believe I am already seeing a ton of holiday books hitting shelves everywhere.
I know that Christmas is still a few months off, but I am starting to see tantalizing new Christmas romance novels popping up all over the place and I just couldn’t resist sharing a few of my most anticipated winter reading! And this one ranks right up there with one of my eager to read holiday romances!
