Special Feature and Excerpt: A Royal Kiss and Tell (A Royal Wedding #2) by Julia London

Julia London is a name that I instantly recognized as a well known romance writer. I haven’t read any of her books but in the numerous series that she has written, this series (A Royal Wedding) would probably be where I would start.

London has a large fan following and many people rave about her ability to write authentic feeling romances with a clear knowledge of historical periods. So I was excited to check out a little sneak peak of her up and coming release, A Royal Kiss and Tell.

Today I have that little excerpt here to share with you guys as well and I can safely say that this one sounds like a promising new romance by a talented and prolific author! Continue reading “Special Feature and Excerpt: A Royal Kiss and Tell (A Royal Wedding #2) by Julia London”

Review: Red Sky over Hawaii by Sara Ackerman

I read my very first book by Sara Ackerman last year and really liked it, so when I saw that she was coming out with another war time book set in Hawaii, I was eager to read it.

The covers of her books are all so beautiful and exotic feeling not to mention set on the gorgeous Hawaiian islands and featuring a unique view of WWII, it’s no wonder that I couldn’t resist her books!

This was a book that I made room on my review calendar for and I am so glad that I did because it was a wonderful escape! Continue reading “Review: Red Sky over Hawaii by Sara Ackerman”

Review: Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner

This book is one of the buzziest books of the summer. It’s been everywhere and I have tried to stay away from reviews so as not to taint my own but it’s been so hard because it’s literally everywhere on social media right now.

I had such great luck with Beach Read (another buzzy book) and I was eager to start this one thinking it would be really similar—-but it wasn’t. The cover makes me think this book would be more of a beach read but then the summary suggested women’s fiction and yet there was a mystery element to the story.

Basically this book had a lot going on and I wasn’t exactly sure how it was all going to fit together but I was looking forward to reading one of the hottest books of the summer. Continue reading “Review: Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner”

Special Feature: Forbidden Lust (Dynasties: Seven Sins #2) by Karen Booth

This summer, Harlequin has some sizzling romances out and today I have a little bit to share about Karen Booth’s latest novel, Forbidden Lust.

Doesn’t that title just sound tantalizing? This book is the second in a series but easily could be read as a stand alone. This author has written a number of romances and I am eager to sample her stories as they sound wonderful.

And since it is just about summer and all, this book is the perfect one to toss in your beach bag since it’s set in a tropical location—a secluded island paradise to be exact.  Continue reading “Special Feature: Forbidden Lust (Dynasties: Seven Sins #2) by Karen Booth”
