I have been in the mood for a proper Victorian romance lately! I mean the last 4-6 weeks all I have been reading are murder mysteries and horror so a romance would be a nice little break.

This romance sounds like it’s going to be charming and fun and today I have a lovely excerpt up on my blog to check out!

After reading this little blurb, I can hardly wait to read this one! Sadly I couldn’t fit it in for the upcoming tour as a review, but I am going to read it all the same and will be posting a review here soon but for now be sure to check out this lovely book!

Review: A Trace of Deceit (Victorian Mystery #2) by Karen Odden

I decided to read the first book in this series before picking this one up. Thinking that as it was a series, I would need to get caught up to speed with the characters before diving into this one.

As there was only one book, I figured it wouldn’t be a bad idea just to check it out. Well come to find out, I didn’t really need to read the first book in the series before this one, but I am still glad that I did as it gave readers a nice introduction to one of the main characters in this book, Matthew.

If you love historical mysteries, then I think this would be a great series to check out. I know I have enjoyed both books in the series so far, for different reasons and I hope you will think about checking out this author! To say that Bringing Down the Duke was one of my favorite books of 2019 would be a drastic understatement. I bought it for every woman reader in my family for Christmas. I absolutely loved Evie Dunmore’s debut novel and the book hangover that followed was so real!

I have been checking Netgalley weekly to see when the next book in the series will be available and the second it was out, I downloaded it. I knew I would be reviewing this one in September so I had plenty of time to read it but I couldn’t help myself!

I started reading it in June and was done in 2 days times. It was so good and now I being the long long long wait for the next book in the series! Evie Dunmore—-you are my favorite romance writer! To say that I am a Bronte fan is the biggest understatement of the year. When I saw that this book was coming out, I couldn’t wait. That feels like a horrible understatement itself but the anticipation was at a fever pitch for me!

The cover is to die for and the premise of this book sounds so promising. I am reading it later this month and will get a review up here once I am done, but for now since the book is releasing this week, I am thrilled to offer you guys a little sneak peak with this lovely excerpt.
