I have been a long time fan of Anna Lee Huber and I have read every single one of her books. I never miss one of her new releases so obviously I had the next Verity Kent book on my calendar months before its release.

When I first started this series it felt different than Huber’s other books not just in time period but in characters too. Verity Kent has a lot more grit and grey area to her than some of Huber’s other heroines.

And don’t even get me started on Sidney. I have struggled with Sidney’s character since the first book and have in all honesty never quite warmed up to him based on some of his deception. Review: Killer Kung Pao (A Noodle Shop Mystery #6) by Vivien Chien

How is it that we are already on the 6th book in this series? It feels like I just started reading it a few months ago….but I haven’t. I read the very first book before it came out and fell in love with this series.

I adore Lana Lee and all the murdery goodness of the Asia Village not to mention every book I read leaves me craving Chinese food and I don’t even like Chinese food but I would kill for some noodles about three chapters in to every single book!

Every time I see that Vivien Chien has a new Lana book coming out, I just automatically add it to my TBR and my review calendar because they are quick easy reads with a good mystery and a fun heroine, how could I not read them? I have been a long time Rhys Bowen fan and I have been trying to get caught up on the Royal Spyness series for the last year.

I have been reading the later mysteries out of order but going back and trying to read the earlier ones so I can have a better appreciation for the characters and their back stories.

Special Feature: Murder in the East End (Kat Holloway Mysteries #4) by Jennifer Ashley

I was so fortunate to read the first Kat Holloway mystery a couple of years ago, but I just haven’t kept up on the series, though I am so glad to see that many readers have been enjoying the books!

I really enjoyed the first book but as the motto goes, so many books so little time, so I have gotten behind which is why I opted to do a special feature for this book instead of a review. I didn’t want to miss anything since I really enjoyed the first book and characters.

If you love historical mysteries reminiscent of Downton Abbey, then this is a series you do not want to miss! I can’t wait to catch up with the series and see what all the fun characters are up to and from the sound of it, lots has happened!
